Absolute Tradegy


i was driving north on interstate 5 around 9:00 pm when i came across this horrible scene of devastation... painted from memory. i ride my bike through (or used to) here. sigh.

jesus. you have a photographic memory. you should be in the movie meet the robinson. this was the boy wouldn't have to build a memory devise. you can just paint it for him. jeas lewis.

This is a powerful piece. When I first glanced at it I thought that it was a photograph, but after reading your text and looking closer, I see it's so much more.

For some reason I keep wanting to come back and look at this. Especially the treatment of the shapes in the heat and smoke billows. Perhaps it is triggering some kind of ancient repressed memory...
